This is a sad little blog isn't it?

I've never really been that great at keeping up with these things,; I haven't even looked at this thing in months! Eventually I'll find a purpose for it and use it!

Non-Fictional Book-Day 14

So I've definitely been posting every other week instead of everyday, but I guess that's just how it's gonna be haha.

The only non-fictional book that comes to mind at the moment is Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. I read it in 10th grade for English and it was about a group of people who went on an expedition to Mt. Everest. It was a really sad book because the majority of the people in the book die due to a severe storm and the accumulation of little things going wrong. The book was written by one of the survivors. It was a good book, just very sad.

My Favorite Song

Me and a few friends decided to do this 30 day thing where we post on different topics everyday, and Day 1 was "Your Favorite Song". THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE! I don't have a favorite song! haha So I'm gonna steal Katie Beck's idea and just hit shuffle and see what happens :)

I really do love this song, and Jon McLaughlin! (well, his music, not him, he's married *sigh*)

It's a really beautiful song and the lyrics really capture my heart. So thank you itunes! haha

p.s. it also happens to be my favorite part in the movie "Enchanted" :)

Cold Turkey

Yes, Cold Turkey.
Those were the words my Uncle Joel used as the three potential worship leaders wlaked off of the stage. That night, before the youth began their worship, U. Joel said, "If you plan on auditioning for vocals in the praise band stand up." After the thought registerd Hey, I'm auditioning! I stood up as well as two others. He then proceeded to have us sing with him. I won't lie, I was shaken. But he had a point. If I wasn't able to go up then and praise the Lord, how would I ever be able to lead others in Worship? I thank him for that because he's absolutely correct in calling us up.
